Sanitation & Recycling

The City of Harlowton contracts with an outside waste management company for solid waste collection and recycling.  Please contact Republic Services for garbage service.

Recycling bins for cans, paper, and plastics are located on the corner of A Ave. NW and School Street just North of the Wheatland County Courthouse.  Please note:  do not leave cardboard or regular trash at this site.  If abuse of the rules of our recycling bins continues we are in danger of loosing the recycling service.

The City of Harlowton does operate a transfer station for large items and yard debris during the summer months.  The transfer station is located North of town on the Old Gap Road by the rifle range.  

Most trash and debris, when properly bundled and/or contained properly, can be disposed of at curbside with your regular garbage service days. If assistance is needed or you have questions for the city, please do not hesitate to contact us.
